Sunday Morning

A warm robe, a puppy, a glow stick, Utes gear and some blueberry tea. What more could you want on a Sunday morning? Especially after a big Utes win the night before?!

Hiawatha School Little Park

Katherine loved being able to play at the park with her brother in the playhouse!

The Brackett Rocket Painting

... A larger view of the space.

Painting the Pavement

We joined in on a community street painting project last weekend, and Henry and I had a great time adding to the artwork. We painted a crescent moon, some stars (holding hands), a flame ball, some swirly flames, and a mouse on a rocket ship chasing some space cheese (Henry's idea and art entirely). Can you spot them?
The larger picture is of the Brackett Rocket, located in the park adjacent to this intersection. It's an old piece of playground equipment that has been turned into a sculpture and a neighborhood landmark.
This is just one of the reasons why I love this neighborhood.

Apple Tree

I was showing Katherine the apples from the apple tree we planted for her when she was in my belly, and one came off right in her hand. She immediately put it in her mouth and starting chomping. Such a simple moment, but it felt amazing to have this amazing little person enjoying the fruit from a tree I planted when I could only imagine her. Good things all around.
