Can You Canoe?

Henry. Eric and I got to ride on a canoe on the Mississippi River at the Share the River Gorge community event last night.
Henry has grown so much in the last year! This year he was able to learn how to paddle and even help out. It was a fun experience and we hope to have many more chances to do it in the future.

Raspberry Jam

Yesterday we went to our favorite raspberry farm for our annual tradition I picking raspberries. We turned our treasure into three batches of raspberry jam to see us through the winter. Henry was instrumental in the process and helped wash, mash, stir, pour, mix and scoop. Good thing we went yesterday, because we ran out of last year's jam this morning! Close call!

Firework Show

Some local yokels put on quite the firework show at the local school yard. They dropped some serious cash for some high quality pyrotechnics - and we, along with a couple dozen other neighbors, didn't even need to leave the neighborhood for our firework fix.
